How long does the appointment last?
Varies according to the type of application and the number of lashes.
A complete lash to lash application lasts 1 hour15 minutes in average.
A complete Russian Volume application takes 2 hours in average.
A refill (after 3 weeks) around 45 minutes to 1 hour.
IS IT PAINFUL?
Not at all, in fact it’s quite a relaxing experience.
WILL MY NATURAL LASHES BE DAMAGED?
There is no risk of your lashes being damaged by the individual lash method or Russian volume method. Only one extension is added to each of your lashes or or several but very light: your eyelid is not heavier and the natural lashes are not broken.
WHAT MATERIAL ARE YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS MADE OF?
The eyelash extensions are synthetic and made of a simple polyester fibre thread. You can find different designations on the Internet, such as silk eyelashes or synthetic mink eyelashes. These designations are false marketing arguments aiming at giving them a luxurious connotation. There are natural mink eyelashes, but we do not use them. After testing them, the curvature has a poor resistance to water and requires far too much maintenance.
Eyelash extensions come in a variety of manufacturing qualities. We use premium quality, which is the highest available on the market. The quality of a synthetic eyelash is seen through its texture (suppleness), its colour (the closest to natural eyelashes), but also by its regularity in diameter, length and shape. The use of premium quality eyelashes allows us to guarantee our clients regular and top-of-the-range applications.
The eyelash extensions we use have been scrupulously selected by us. They are manufactured for us in Vietnam by a leading Chinese company with all the international quality and best practices labels.
HOW LONG DO THE EXTENSIONS LAST?
As long as you want, provided that you have refills.
(every 3 to 4 weeks).
CAN I WEAR MAKE-UP TO THE APPOINTMENT?
It is better not to wear make-up when you visit us to get eyelash extensions, so that the glue adheres to the natural lash. It also saves time, both for our technician and for you.
CAN I WEAR MAKE-UP ON MY EXTENSIONS?
Waterproof mascaras and make-up removers can limit the durability of the glue used on the extensions. If you decide to wear mascara, we strongly recommend using mascaras with a formula specifically designed for use on lash extensions. They will preserve the durability of your extensions.
IF I DON'T HAVE VERY MANY LASHES, CAN I DOUBLE THE MASS AND VOLUME?
As the extensions are applied directly to the natural lashes and have no contact with the skin, the specialist will only be able to apply extensions to existing lashes.
However, it is possible to improve the volume by having lash extensions applied with the Russian volume technique.
HOW SHOULD I LOOK AFTER MY LASH EXTENSIONS?
Lash extensions require minimal care. Avoid contact with water for 48 hours after the appointment. You should avoid any oil-based make-up removers or oily lotions as well as waterproof mascaras as they alter the adherence of the lash extensions.

People with very oily skin who frequently touch their lashes, pulling on them or rubbing too strongly, may reduce the lifespan of their extensions.

What is the difference between semi-permanent and permanent make-up?
What is the difference between semi-permanent and permanent make-up?
The answer is in the question, but the technical explanation comes from where the pigment is implanted under the skin. In semi-permanent make-up, the pigments are deposited in the upper layer of the epidermis. It is therefore on the surface and that is why semi-permanent make-up has a lifespan and will disappear over time.
Permanent make-up is a tattoo: the pigments are implanted in the dermis and will normally remain for life.
We do not do permanent make-up on eyebrows for obvious aesthetic reasons and because we know that fashions and wishes pass and that features change over time.
How long is a micropigmentation appointment?
This data is only here to give a rough idea and the duration of a session varies and depends on the complexity of the work and the time spent choosing the shape and colour. At L’Atelier du Regard, we take all the time necessary for the consultation and realisation of the work.
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?
This varies depending on skin type, but generally between 12 and 18 months. After the first appointment, it is advisable to make a retouch in the following month, but sometimes this is not necessary. In order to preserve the intensity, refills may be organised semestrielly or annualy.
Can I choose the shape and thickness of my semi-permanent makeup?
Of course. The technician is also a person developing a keen sense of design and has great knowledge in aesthetic facial morphology. She will advise you, without imposing anything.
The technician will draw with pencil your future semi permanent makeup. Depending on your tastes and recommendations, corrections will be made until you find the design that suits you best. This step is the Consultation.
At the end of this consultation, you will have the choice either to take the time of reflection and to fix a second appointment to realize your semi-permanent makeup or to do the treatment during this appointment.
Must one be major to do semi-permanent makeup eyebrows?
Not necessarily, if both parents authorize the treatment in writing.

How does the healing process work?
The healing of a wound is an extremely complex phenomenon that is specific to each organism. It involves the processes of repairing a localised lesion and regenerating tissue. It is a mechanism that brings into play several factors that make it difficult to model and research therapeutic approaches.
To summarise, these are the 3 stages of the healing process:
. The first stage takes 7 to 10 days depending on the skin type and organism. It is the formation of small scabs. These contain pigment, some will heal with the skin and others will fall off naturally. It is important not to remove them and to let this mechanism take place naturally.
. The second stage lasts about 10 days and corresponds to the phase where the tissues will regenerate.
The third stage is the reepidermalisation of the skin. Its duration varies. The skin regains its original colour. It is during this stage that the skin will let the pigments appear by transparency.
Before the end of the healing process or at least in the middle of the third stage, it is difficult to see the final result of a semi-permanent make-up.
Often in stage 1, the pigments seem to have disappeared, but in stage 3, you can ssee them. So if you experience this, don’t panic and be patient.
Is it possible to re-pigment in the healing phase?
It is not possible and especially not knowing the final result before stage 3 of the healing process, this could prove to be both dangerous and useless.
Can I expose myself to the sun?
Avoid the sun 72 hours before the appointment and 1 week after. This recommendation is also valid for solarium and self-tanning products.
Contraindications

We temporarily advise against micropigmentation in the case of pregnancy, conjunctivitis, herpes or cold sores, Vitamin A treatment, sinusitis or simply if you have a bad cold.

Do not scratch or rub the treated area. Apply a healing cream.
